Yes you can! You only need to sign up once (either as a driver or a shypper) and then after that, login as which ever user you want (driver or shypper). Please note though - If you originally signed up as a shypper, and then try logging in as a driver, there will be additional information you need to provide us with like your vehicle details, banking info (so you can be paid), etc.
At the end of each delivery, drivers and shyppers have the opportunity to rate each other with 1 through 5 stars based on their experience with the other party. If your rating drops too low, you may be suspended or banned from the site.

It could be for a number of reasons. You may need to lower your price to be hired, or maybe you’re travelling to a low demand route, or maybe there just isn't anyone that needs their goods delivered to/from that area right now.
Please discuss this with your insurance broker as each policy varies. It is your responsibility to ensure you are 100% properly and fully covered against any incidents or accidents. When you sign up as a driver, we require your insurance policy provider and policy # for security and background check purposes, but we do not have access to the actual policy # so we are not responsible nor will we be held liable for any improper insurance coverage.
Please discuss this with your insurance broker as each policy and circumstance varies. The price differs but can be as little as $25 extra per year.
The Driver Connection Fee is a 9.4% fee that Shyppo charges to all drivers for using the Shyppo platform and matching them with Shyppers. Basically, think of it as a commission that Shyppo takes. It is MUCH lower than some other popular delivery services though (i.e. food delivery services take up to 30%!). Other than applicable GST, there are no other fees for the Driver to use our services.
Typically, 3-7 days (depending on your bank). If it’s taking longer than 7 days, please let us know so we can see if we can help to speed up the process and/or rectify the problem.
Good communication is important. Please communicate with the shypper as soon as you know this. It’s just good manners. If your plans changed and you can’t pick up the delivery at all, please also let us know as soon as possible. If you haven’t been hired by a shypper yet, you can simply go into “My Job Postings” and delete the job.
This is one of our many security features. If you damage, lose, or steal the package, your pre-authorized credit card will be charged as you are 100% responsible for the safe delivery of it.

Generally, individuals or small businesses whose revenue is less than $30,000 in a quarter do not have to charge, collect, and remit GST. If you are registered to collect GST, you may be able to claim the GST amount we charge on the Driver connection fee against your remittances. Due to the unique circumstances of each driver, we strongly recommend you save all of your payment emails from us and discuss with further your accountant.
It means that you still need to deliver this shipment. Once delivered, this Status will change to “Done” under “Past Pick ups and Drops”.
If you enter (for example) 10km on the departure side and 20km on the destination side, the website will only look for any potential shypments that need to be picked up within a 10km radius of your departure location, and will only look for potential delivery addresses within a 20km radius of your destination. The longer you are willing to travel out of your way, the greater the chances of finding matches. If you click the “I’m willing to pick up anywhere in the departure/destination city” tick-box, you will potentially be matched anywhere within that city, no matter how small or large the city is.
We’re not entirely sure what their reasoning was, but your “drive” post will remain on the website until your departure date if you originally posted it to the site. If you didn't, you will have to re-post it.
Once you get matched with a Shypper it’s always a good idea to send them a quick text or email to establish a line of communication. If you reach out to them and you never hear back from them, please let us know by replying to the original “You’ve been hired” email you got from us. We’ll do our best to try to contact them, but together, we may just have to cancel the shypment. You will not be charged anything and you can proceed with your road trip without any Shyppo packages if no one else hires you.
If there is no one home, try to contact them via email, text, or phone to see what happened. If you still don’t hear from them, we don’t expect you to sit around and wait and delay your road trip. If the Shypper isn’t adhering to your agreed upon schedule, just leave empty handed, carry on with your trip, but please also let us know asap by replying to the “You’ve been hired” email you originally received from us. You will not be charged anything and we will do out best to rectify the situation for the time lost on your end.
Refer back to the “You’ve been hired” email for delivery instructions. In there it will state if you can leave the package if no one is at home, and it also may have specific delivery instructions. If the email states you are not to leave the package, but no one is at home, use your best judgement, but we recommend you leave the package hidden in a secure spot and notify the shypper immediately so they can inform the recipient. Be sure to take lots of pictures of the package where you left it.

This could be due to a variety of reasons. Your price you offered may be too low, you may have too poor of a description, too tight of a timeline, etc. Or there just may not be any drivers using the site right now that are travelling your route.
Yes. Each driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of your package and through the website you can ‘insure’ your goods up to a $2000 replacement value If something happens to your package that the driver is personally responsible for. Shyppo pre-authorizes their credit cards before they pick up the goods in case anything happens to the goods while in transport.
$2000 for the entire shypment.
Please value your package at the replacement cost. If you are shypping a $200 golf club, set the value at $200. If you put a higher value, it may unnecessarily increase the cost of your shypment and if the package is lost or damaged, you will still only be paid out the replacement value. Sentimental value does not count unfortunately, so that $20 teddy bear might be worth $1million to you, but for insurance purposes, the replacement/ insured value is still only $20.
No, please keep your boxes open and unsealed whenever possible. This is so the drivers know what they are transporting.
The $2 Shypper Connection Fee is the fee we charge to connect you to a driver. Other than applicable GST, there are no other fees for the Shypper to use our services.
The staff at Shyppo does after reviewing driver’s pictures, sometimes with assistance or confirmation from the shypper +/or recipient.
Each driver is personally responsible for the safe and timely delivery of your package(s). We utilize a number of safety and security features to deter theft by drivers. We collect a large amount of personal details from the drivers including their insurance, vehicle, and banking details, plus their credit card information, which is pre-authorized before each pick up, so if they don’t deliver or damage your package for any reason, they are responsible. Their credit card is charged for the replacement value of your goods, and you will be reimbursed for your lost item(s). Please email us immediately at claims@shyppo.com to discuss your situation.
You must contact claims@shyppo.com within 3 days of the alleged event taking place. Any claim initiation that happens after three days or longer may not be acted on by Shyppo.

Try reaching out to them via text, phone, or email. If they do not respond at all, please contact us by replying to your original “Confirmation of your Shypment” email. We will try to rectify the situation and match you with a new driver. You will not be charged anything if the shypment never takes place via our website.
Your card will not be charged until the driver delivers your package(s).
Every jurisdiction has different laws and protocols in place. We require all our drivers and shyppers to follow local rules and laws. This may include, but is not limited to: Staying at home if you feel sick, wearing a mask that covers your nose, mouth, and chin during pick up and delivery of items, wash your hands frequently, cover your cough or sneeze, keep your vehicle clean, and wiping down the package(s) you pick up and using hand sanitizer before and after handling all packages.
